May 11, 2009: Poetry Wikia has been updated at last. Newly added an entire Forum's Section, in which to post your poetry, play games, and share your thoughts with other poets. Also added a Poetry Catalog that holds every poem written on this site. Browse through a few and comment on whatever you like. We hope to see a little more life in the Wikia, so your input and contributions are all appreciated. Happy editing. --Specter

July 27, 2008: The new main page design has been made official! Please post any comments or suggestions here! -- Swannie

July 22, 2008: Well, November isn't here yet. To tell the truth, I've been doing a lot of self reformation stuff lately and have been sort of neglecting my duties here. I'd like to thank Swannie for kicking me in the rear end and getting things started over here again. I'm glad I logged in and saw the notes I've received, it means that people are reading out there. I noticed that someone even uploaded an Erma Bombeck Poem. I hadn't seen or heard her work in several years. Its time for me to take a look around at the All Pages and see if I can organize some other people's stuff that's floating around in this wikia and maybe not be quite so self centered with this project. Please, if you have something positive to contribute, do join in! --Chris Bradley

Beauties of the Night

Snowflakes gliding through the winter breeze,
Falling softly onto the gentle white blanket
that covers the ground,
Beauteous works of art in the moonlit night sky,
Make the entire world sparkle while glazing the sky.
The evergreens are now adorned amidst the holly and ivy,
The birds now fall asleep.
At midnight the world is still,
Except for the beauties of the night.

The School Day Ride of Jack Mckruss

by Zachary Kale

Teachers and parents we've come to discuss

The school day ride of Jack McKruss

The teachers were at a big conference While the students were making a really big mess

They knocked desks over and said with a shout “Since there are no teachers, we want to leave. Please let us out!”

They drew on their homework with pencils and pens They even broke the teacher’s glasses lens

Then all of a sudden, Jack started to shout “Someone is coming. We have to clean now!”

Jack ran through the school giving the calls “The principal’s coming!” echoed through the halls

They cleaned up the mess and the teacher said “You did a good job you lads and lasses. Just one more thing, where are my glasses?”

And that was the story of Jack’s calls Who’s now in detention for yelling in halls
